Each year, the Tejano Conjunto Festival honors the musical tradition of Tejano culture in San Antonio, Texas. Thousands of people attend the festival each year, which features a range of musical performers such as Conjunto, Tejano, and Norteo bands.

The person behind this marvelous event is Juan Tejeda. He established the festival in 1982 with the intention of providing a venue for promotion and preservation of the admirable Tejano musical culture. It has developed into one of the biggest and most prominent Tejano music festivals in the world throughout the years.

Over the years, the gathering has significantly increased to include repeat attendees who come to dance and celebrate conjunto culture. The festival is recognized with showcasing the distinctive music and culture of South Texas Tejanos and has grown to become a model for many other conjunto events.

The festival will take place on May 17-21 at the historic Guadalupe Arts Center and Rosedale Park. Live music performances, dance demonstrations, food trucks, and arts and crafts booth will be present during the event.

Tickets are already available for purchase for just $45 for a weekend pass. It can also be bought at the Guadalupe Latino Bookstore, located at 1300 Guadalupe St. in the historic Progreso Pharmacy Building, from Tuesday to Saturday at 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Easter is celebrated around the world with a lot of excitement and well-known customs because it is one of the most religious and sentimental holidays—especially in San Antonio! Traders Village’s 17th annual Easter Eggstravaganza

A traditional Easter pastime, the egg search is a fun activity for the whole family, especially young and young at heart. There will be plenty of free Easter eggs packed with treats, so don’t forget to bring your Easter basket.

The Easter Egg Hunt at the Texas Transportation Museum 

Children can stop at the egg stations while exploring the museum to gather eggs to fill their baskets and take pictures with the Easter Bunny. There are also some snacks available for purchase in the area.

Breakfast with The Bunny at Hard Rock Cafe San Antonio

Have a bunny-tastic Easter weekend at the Hard Rock Cafe! A delectable breakfast buffet with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, pancakes, hash browns, fruit, pastries, orange juice, coffee & water, and beverage stations will be offered at this family event. Additionally, the bunny will make a special appearance and be available for pictures with the kids and their families.

January and February

March and April

May through September

The Valero Texas Open is a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour. Officially ranking as the sixth-oldest professional golf event in the world, the Texas Open was first played in 1922. Since it has always been held in the San Antonio region, it also holds the record for the longest duration of any golf tournament conducted in the same city.

The Valero Texas Open will celebrate its 100th anniversary this spring, and event organizers today revealed some former champion commitments for the 144-player field that will compete in the historic PGA TOUR stop on TPC San Antonio’s The Oaks course March 27–April 2, a week before The Masters tournament.

Reigning champion J.J. Spaun will defend his title. He is currently ranked 25th in the FedExCup standings after two top-12 starts in recent weeks. After this year’s U.S. Open, the San Diego State alumnus and current World No. 61, Zach Johnson will try to win the Valero Texas Open twice in a row.

The 65th annual festival’s FREE celebration of folklife and dance acts will be held at Rolling Oaks Mall. This free family-friendly folklife event will feature dance performances, artisans, music, food, and more to celebrate variety and culture.

The San Antonio Folklife & Dance Festival (SAFDF) performances highlight the skills and enthusiasm of regional folk dance ensembles, as well as the occasional special guest or two and they often feature live music. A rich cultural experience of costumes, food, music, singing, storytelling, and dance is formed by these free performances, the food, and the vendors.
