The story back of this beautiful place, comes from the 90s, and the citizens are part of it. In 1957 service clubs and citizens donated funds to purchase 400 trees to plant. Recreation centers were made, such as softball fields, tennis facilities and a 10-acre lake were made in 1960s. The Southern Segment of new Salado Creek Greenway was dedicated at South Side Lions.
The citizens invested in this beautiful place, just for you and I to have fun and enjoy of a very special and calm moment with family, or just alone looking for peace, inspiration or relax.
