LA VILLITA HISTORIC ARTS VILLAGE
Little village. Big fun. Located on the south bank of the River Walk, La Villita (which, translates to “little village”) occupies one square block in the heart of downtown San Antonio. The village is on the U.S. government’s National Register of Historic Places as a Historic District, and its architectural styles range from simple adobe structures to early Victorian and Texas vernacular limestone buildings. Look for commemorative markers placed throughout the village to learn more about each building’s history. Although the “little village” now wears the hat of a cultural art hub, it has served as home, refuge and opportunity for people throughout the ages. Enjoy boutique style shopping, artisan finds and makers galore across La Villita. As you walk through the cobble stoned streets, take a moment to embrace the evolution of this special space.

Sightsee, shop, and explore local fare at The Shops at Rivercenter. Just steps from the banks of the famous River Walk, Rivercenter boasts more than 100 retailers, IMAX/AMC Theatres, and an adjoining 1,000-room hotel, San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter. Featured retailers include H&M, Francesca’s, Macy’s, Buckle, Express, and American Eagle, to name a few.
